Intern, Treasury
Strategic Risk Solutions Inc (SRS), a fast-growing privately-owned insurance services company, is looking for an Intern, Treasury to provide superb administrative support to colleagues in Barbados.
SRS provides consulting, accounting, and management services to insurance companies, predominantly those licensed as captive insurance companies, in the US, Barbados, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Europe with a staff of 400+ employees and expects to continue to grow and expand domestically and abroad.
Duties include:
- Assist the general day to day operations of the client service team in the overall cash management of a portfolio of (re)insurance and regular Barbados companies;
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual cash and investment accounting statements and reconciliations;
- Assist with the monthly bank reconciliations for client bank accounts inclusive of keying transfers and bank charges;
- Alternate for similar duties performed by colleagues within the cash and treasury department; and
- Other cash and treasury administrative tasks as may be assigned from time to time by management;
Attributes and skill sets include:
- Relevant years training and experience in a similar role in a professional environment;
- Detail-oriented with superb organizational skills and comfortable with routinely shifting demands to meet strict reporting deadlines;
- Must be a self-starter and motivated;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to build lasting relationships with all levels of employees, along with our clients; and
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
