Strategic Risk Solutions Inc (SRS), the world’s largest independent insurance company manager, is growing and looking for an accounting professional to join its servicing team.
The successful candidates will have a CPA (or equivalent) and will work in a team to manage the financial and regulatory affairs of a portfolio of captive insurance companies. This position will be based out of Halifax, NS with SRS Managers (Canada) Limited and will be predominantly remote.

The successful candidates will have a CPA (or equivalent) and will work in a team to manage the financial and regulatory affairs of a portfolio of captive insurance companies. This position will be based out of Halifax, NS with SRS Managers (Canada) Limited and will be predominantly remote.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparation of financial statements, bank reconciliations, and regulatory filings for a portfolio of captive insurance clients.
- Review and update insurance documentation and maintain up to date corporate records.
- Produce reports as may be required by the Company.
- Consistently and promptly respond to client and inter-office requests.
- Handle verbal and written client and regulatory communications.
- Preparing for, presenting in and attending client Board of Director meetings.
- Provide support as may be necessary to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the Company and portfolio of client accounts.
Attributes and Skills
- Accounting Designation required
- Insurance accounting and/or fund administration experience preferred
- Self-motivation with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or on individually assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment where exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills are essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel as circumstances require
