Senior Compliance Analyst
Strategic Risk Solutions Cayman Limited (SRS), a leading independent captive insurance management firm, is looking to hire a newly created position, Senior Compliance Analyst, to join the compliance team in Grand Cayman. Reporting directly to the Director – Compliance/Compliance Officer, this role is responsible for managing the compliance program. SRS provides financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and program management services to captive insurance companies. We operate throughout the United States, in offshore domiciles (Barbados, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands), Canada and Europe. Preference will be given to suitably qualified Caymanians or holders of Caymanian Status.
Role and Requirements
We require an energetic individual with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to multi-task and manage the compliance program while providing support to a client service team responsible for the management of a portfolio of offshore captive insurance companies. The candidate should have an accounting professional designation, college or university degree, a qualification in compliance, and knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations and legislations with 5 years’ compliance experience in financial services in the Cayman Islands, in particular the captive insurance sector. Strong analytical, organizational, administrative and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Review of due diligence documentation.
- Provide regulatory guidance and support to the business divisions operating in the Cayman Islands.
- Stay abreast of changes in applicable acts, regulations, industry standards, and assess their impact on the organization's compliance obligations. Develop strategies to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Undertake compliance monitoring in accordance with monitoring plans, including client onboarding procedures and oversight of outsourcing arrangements.
- Manage special projects, including regulatory on-site inspections, and annual internal and AML audits.
- Manage submission of regulatory filings, including but not limited to: Economic Substance, REEFs and Beneficial Ownership.
- Prepare compliance reports and regulatory frameworks for quarterly Committee meetings.
- Oversee and implement annual compliance plans.
- Conduct investigations into potential compliance breaches, irregularities, or allegations. Collect and analyze relevant data, interview involved parties, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
- Review internal compliance procedures on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with the other SRS group Compliance teams.
